Can anyone tell me if this red sub 1680 been "over polished"?

I compare lots of red subs and here are my concerns:
1) crown guards are not even
2) top lugs both sides seem overly polished
3) i don't see the chamfers clearly

Looks to me like you already answered your own concerns. It does appear to have a nice dial.

You've already described it, so I think you've seen the 'issues'. To me, the lower CG and the corresponding side facet of the case looks excellent, while the other has been eroded away, which is a shame. Underside of case seems to have been polished as well. I'd pass.

Yeah, from what I can see it looks like the spring bar on one side is peeking out. I think I'd look elsewhere. Dial is nice though.
