I was referring to the fact that they were completely out of stock and couldn't get any more at that time.

I have no idea what Rolex is planning.

Why is it some sellers and distributors call the 116610LV an anniversary edition and some don't?

I was under the impression there was only one anniversary configuration and it was the green bezel, black dial.

Seemingly unrelated, but if in fact there is some anniversary aspect to the Hulk, it would back up the notion that it is a limited edition. Right?

I think the theory in calling it that is that the 116610LV was just the "update" for model 16610LV, which was of course the Anniversary model.

I find the connection tenuous at best, but sellers gotta sell.

I've confirmed this is true on another watch forum. Will be pulled no later than Feb 30 2015.

While I don't believe that it's being discontinued, I am glad that I already have a Hulk.

You are right, the anniversary Sub was the aluminum bezel Kermit. Some people like to "market" the Hulk as an anniversary Sub and extremely hard to find so they can justify selling this watch for MSRP or higher. And I have in fact seen Hulks on Ebay selling for greater than the 9050.00 MSRP.
Rolex is NOT going to stop making a watch that they sell every one of. They are in business to make money right? I call total BravoSierra on this silly rumor.

For every 20 LNs they get one LV. That is the ratio. Small ADs have a waiting list since they don’t get enough supply. The bigger ADs get more stock since they move more watches. They always keep the LVs in the back. I doubt that they would discontinue the LV but none would know anyhow.

What is certain is that Rolex controls production numbers on the LV which makes total sense. Overall for regular buyers LV is much much less popular than LN. if they produce just as much, they flood the market and this is not good business.

If you look here in the for sale section, you will not have any problem locating a BNIB Hulk from just about every better known trusted seller here. This is how I bought mine and I saved over 1K versus A.D. price and state sales tax.
I really don't like the games these A.D.s play by hiding watches in their safes, so choose not to do business with them.

Since all LVs are handmade by green elfs at the North Poll I would say 2-300 max. Maybe 400. ;)

As long as it is in demand, I do not think that it will be discontinued, probably just limited supply. But after a long time, there will be a lot of them around.
