Nothing to add except good luck in your search. You'll love the watch!

ok i found the watch but the shop said they would have to get a new warranty card with my name on it and send it out to me.
does that sound right or are the trying to pull my pants down. it is a watch shop in london not a ad but a shop which has been standing for the best part of 5 years or so. they have loads of other watches from various brands too. they said the 218238 was a bnib factory wrapped with all books boxes and docs. what do you reckon? |

It may be like new. The reason why the warranty card needs to be sent out is because it has someone else's name on it. The person that bought it new. Anyway if you want new and no hassles go buy at an AD IMHO |

Do you know what the serial number is, or what it starts with?
A second hand dealer may have one BNIB - never worn, but could be older like a Z-serial. If that's the case, then 20% off is not enough. 20% off BNIB random serial with new style warranty card would be decent. |

Oops read the post too fast! Not sure if there is such thing as a Z-serial DDII, maybe V is the first??? In any case, I still think it would help to know what serial.

Carr should be fine. On the warranty card make sure there is a stamp from an Authorised Dealer to validate the warranty and that the serial number matches that on the watch's rehaut/inner bezel.
