Seeking dial and overall watch conditions advice on this 5513

Dear RF experts,

I´m trying to help out a friend of mine, determine the overall condition of this 5513.

I´m not overly excited, but I am also known to judge mistakenly.

In my opinion the lugs at 7 & 11 position is quite overpolished, the hands (minute hand in particular) has clear signs of corrosion and the dial, well, it just does´nt rub me the right way.

Innerside of the backcase dates it to 1967. Apparently the bezel insert is from 1970. Bracelet is obviously not correct, but will end up on a nato strap, so no biggie there.

As said, I´m no expert, so I/we are hoping that some of you brilliant people will chip in with your opinion.

Thank you so much and have a great weekend folks

I'm not sure whether the jubilee was a standard option on the Submariner.

insert is a damned later replacement ( most likley born with luminova pearl ) with a " tritium like " pearl in order to disguise .. LOL LOL LOL
case is heavily asymmetrical after heavy polishing due to a damage.
hands are obviously not matching to indexes ( not in very good shape themselves ).

I could most definitely be wrong, but isn't it supposed to be "born" with a tritium pearl?

looks a bit of a 'compilation' rather than 'complication'!

I see that now. Was just going to post it. I'm afraid that when a (tired) Danish guy, talks to an Italian, in English...some things can get lost in translation

Not a problem; totally understandable. I can attest that when an American guy talks to his American wife most things get lost in translation...

You're [both] doing a good job! Better than a lot of 'English' speakers...

Note the "spotting" or darker area around markers. I have had a few with this and it doesn't get better & can get darker. Just fyi. m
