Omega 2200.50.00 Won't Wind Manually

This watch is about 6 years old. After not wearing it for a few days, it was of course dead. I have tried to manually wind and don't get any results. I'm pretty sure I'm winding it correctly and hear a slight "whirring" sound when doing so. If I shake it around for a while it starts to tick, but doesn't last very long. Apologies for my lack of knowledge. Any ideas? Thanks if advance.

I was afraid of that. Is 6 years about right for length between services?

Between 5 and 7 so you're there

Since I see you're in Washington, I would recommend Nesbits in Seattle to service it. They did a great job on my Omega Speedmaster.

Spoke to Jan at Nesbits yesterday, will be sending it up there tomorrow. $525 for a full service.

Good to hear and I'd say that's about average anymore for cost. They are good people and I believe they give a 30 month post service warranty on all Omega, Rolex and other high end watches they service. If you didn't know, they used to be an Omega Service Center before Omega quit using independents. They also have a very stellar reputation in the industry.
