Collection Advice Needed

I am presently considering a 'new' piece, the problem at the moment is I am not too sure 'what', I am thinking maybe a DRSD or 5512 but I am open to suggestions. To make this happen would mean trading or selling one of the watches I currently have, the problem is which one and what would you go for,cash would be added to the deal.
The collection with my thoughts-

From top left going clockwise-

1975 6263 - This is a keeper
1966 5513 gilt, with a beautiful perfect dial.
1966 1675 gilt, stunning a definite keeper.
1972 MK IV red sub, very nice
1985 16660 seadweller with one of the nicest Stardust dials ever.
2009 16600 seadweller, hung onto this as its almost NOS
1967 5513 metres first ex Andrew Shear so obviousely very nice.
1978 1665 MK 1 Ex Mike Wood and a stunner.

I value your advice so the problem is of the 6 I would let go which would you choose and more importantly what would you set your sights on replacing it with.

Stunning collection! I'd go for trading the 1665, 5513 and 16660 for a nice double red. Might also drop the red sub as you will have a killer matte DRSD and the gilt sub kind of making the red sub not needed. If still money left I'd add a nice gilt 1016 to spice things up. Perhaps a brown one.

Sorry if I make too much chaos but that be my view. I'd be very happy just sitting still as well.

Given what you have a DRSD would seem to be the one to go for. Roh123 has made a pretty good suggestion how to get there value wise.

sell all your sea-dwellers and get a DRSD. A MK2 tropical if you will. good luck!

I'd add an explorer, no crown sub, and potentially an early tog first.

Just to keep some variety in play.

Nice collection. You've said several are 'definite keepers' so it's hard to comment.
Having said that, I'd sell one of the modern SDs, or one of the 5513s, and probably the Daytona. Then get a DRSD and the 5512 you would like. But you don't want to hear that.

Thanks for the suggestions so far fella's, definitely the only 2 that wouldnt go are the GMT 1675 gilt and the 6263 Daytona Big Red, if I went for a DRSD I think the 1680 Red would fit in well with it so I would probably hang onto that as well, its nice to know we are thinking along similiar lines regarding the DRSD.

The advice I give people when asked which references to sell to make room for a vintage Rolex is to sell your sapphire crystal models to make room...all except one. I like to keep at least one for swimming and diving etcetera. My rationale is that virtually all of the sapphire crystal models are readily available in the market with perhaps the exception being a Y or early F series 16610LV. If you end up regretting selling one of them no big deal...just find another one. Another thing to consider when facing this decision is keeping the best condition and more rare pieces and letting the others go. In other words as my friend has taught me, "Sell from the bottom.". Looking at your collection of 8 watches I would let one of your sapphire Sea Dwellers go to make room for another plexi.

I would trade in one or 2 saphyres and get a nice 1655 explorer...
Otherwise get a DRSD and trade in your great white and maybe the red sub

Great advice guys but AK797 has thrown the cat amongst the pidgeons, never thought I would own a 6263 but that became a reality fairly recently so I suppose never say never with regard to a PN. Definitely food for thought which is exactly why I threw this question out to the great and the good!

Beautiful collection! I would keep the first four and sell the others and add some cash to get a DRSD and a 1655.

That is covered with a gold speedy but I must admit doesnt get much wrist time, I am leaning towards keeping the Great White and chopping the other 3 on the bottom row but I must admit to having a great affection for the stardust dweller, decisions, decisions!
