Own the Omega and the THC blue. I'd pick the Omega, it's just areal fun watch. A little chunky but the case construction and tolerances are excellent. The THC I prefer in blue. Even though the thickness is less than the Omega it's less comfortable because of the modular chrono movement causes the case to ride high. No comparison regarding accuracy - the Tudor suffers in that regard.

That's interesting, my THC Grey is among the most comfortable watches I own. It does seem thick, but it has a fully flat caseback which sits very well on my wrist (on the SS bracelet), and total thickness compared to, say, a sports Rolex is quite similar when you take the convex back of those into consideration. Also, my THC is the most accurate of all my watches, several Rolexes included, and with overnight positioning is seldom more than three seconds off either way (my other Tudors are less impressive, but still pretty good).

I love Omega, but I am not a fan of this model. I would go for the Tudor.

Omega. Tudor is ETA, so I think you're getting much more watch for the money with this Omega (or any other in house Omega).

I think I would take a Tudor over Omega any day. The Pelagos and North Flag have the in house movements which makes them even more appealing. But even the Black Bay Heritage and Heritage Chrono with the modified ETA movements are just plain cool! They all look really clean and sharp.

I'm a fan of Omega. The Speedmaster Professional is one of my all time favorites and has been since my dad bought one in the mid 1970s.

I've no experience with Tudor. Just looked them over at an AD.

However, between those models, judging solely by the photos, I must say I like the Tudor's looks better. I'd have to try them both on to make the final call, but, from the pictures, Tudor gets my preliminary vote.

Now, if you were also considering the Speedmaster Professional (the original Moonwatch), I'd vote for that, any day.

Do you wear your THC Grey on a strap? I find the THC on the supplied nato strap to be a bit unwieldy. I've never tried it on the bracelet though so perhaps it wears better.

Accuracy wise my THC is certainly acceptable - around 4 to 5 secs - but the Omega is really something special. Watchtime just reviewed the Omega and rated the moment accuracy as one of the best they've ever measured and in my experience it's certainly very accurate (less than a sec a week). I'm not sold on the design or wearability of the Omega though - some days I like it and others it comes off as trying too hard. And it's really polished up...

Come on, Tudor has Hodinkee to market them! Interestingly I just handled a Zenith El Primero Original 1969 owned by a friend, a gorgeous watch then read the outrageously lukewarm review it received in Hodinkee. If it had been a Tudor (or a Rolex) they would have been gushing over it like lovesick schoolboys.

I only wear it on the bracelet. You dont get the comfort and fit benefits of the flat caseback with the fabric strap, which also lifts the case a little higher.

I've grumbled here about Hodinkee's uncritical Tudor coverage myself on several occasions, but in the big picture it doesn't amount to much influence. I doubt the average watch buyer has even heard of Hodinkee.

As much as I like the movement in Omega (cal. 3133 is based on HEAVILY upgraded ETA 7753, with added column wheel and co-axial escapement, similar but even more advanced than Longines L688, produced to last for a lifetime), I would go for Tudor...simply because I'm biased Rolex/Tudor fan!

Hey Big Guy!, The Tudor Chrono Heritage Blue is the watch that got me interested in buying, owning a quality time piece. I looked at that watch for quite a while before making a move on it. In the end, I thought the blue/orange color scheme might wear a little thin for day to day wearing and ended up buying a Speeedmaster Professional (3570.50) instead, but that's my story and what I did, what you want to do may be entirely different yet you did ask for opinions

I'd say this, if you think you are going to own more than one watch, then buy the Tudor Chrono. Since this was going to be my first quality watch purchase, I sided with the more conservative 3570.50, and don't regret that move one bit

That said, if I were to buy a Tudor today, it would be a Black Bay, as I'm more attracted to diver watches
