Cherry blossoms in Washington DC
I haven't seen the cherry blossoms in DC for the past few years while I lived overseas. I gotta say they are as gorgeous as ever. Thank you Japan for giving us these beautiful trees! We had a enjoyable walk around the tidal basin and I hope the good members of TRF enjoy these pictures. Cheers!

Excellent pictures... ...but I hate the traffic related with this event!

Great pictures! I live 10 minutes on foot from the mall and went for an early-morning run down there on Saturday to take in the cherry blossom scenery before the tourists descended on it ;) By Sunday night, all the garbage cans around the city looked like ice cream cones. So many tourists!

We don't do the cherry blossoms any more - too crowded with tourists. But thanks for sharing those photos. I had almost forgotten how beautiful they are.

Great photos, reminded me of my visit there last month with my girlfriend back in Virginia. Great date site, and very relaxing. Just have to be careful on parking, apparently blossom season is prime time for the parking meter maids.
