Daytona error dial
It seems some White dialed SS 116520 Daytona's have an error in the font layout of COSMOGR APH VS COSMOGRAPH. Recent models appear to have resolved the issue. Any thoughts, will those "error dialed" ones become less or more collectable?

Pictures would help get some replys I think. Without seeing it, I'm sure there will be someone 20 years from now that would pay more $$ for an error dial.

Yeah, I noticed this the first day I had my Daytona. I'm pretty sure the "aph" is a smaller type size than the "cosmogr" too. Bothered me until I saw that all of yours were the same!

Not much of an error for mine....... putting it on upside down or missing the word now that would be an error.

Without wanting to ridicule the OP I really don't understand all those collectability rubbish!
Firstly it's just a dial variation on a mass produced item. Just enjoy your watch |

Something that's rare in my book is less than 50 world wide units and not like most all Rolex watches made in there hundreds or thousands or millions.Trouble today with this loupe mania and spotting the minutest font difference, then on the internet hype its a rare dial rare my a----.Over the past 50 odd years there have been hundreds possible thousands on slight font changes.Trouble today Rolex watches are no longer watches but only thought of as $$$$$$££££££££ will this or that go up in value. The infamous stick dial GMT many bought into that internet hype and got there fingers burnt as it was little more that a font change.

In the near future, I can see a flood of these, "Lesser" Daytona's hitting the second hand market.

Padi, you always seem to bring negative comments to anyone discussing a topic you don't like. No one is using high-powered lenses to capture their photos here, so maybe you could stop with the insults.

I have the "error" dial. Doesn't bother me at all, and I don't think it will make the watch more collectable at all.

Its not a insult its a fact and some of those pictures are highly magnified, the fact is there have been hundreds possibly thousands of tiny font changes over the past 50 odd years.

Thanks for the advice, however I do enjoy my watch. I was asking so as to see how common was the "error" . Stamps are mass produced but errors in printing add to collectability.
