rotor material?
Hi all, was wondering from what material is the RG 44mm rotor made of? I guess WG but maybe PT? I know that on some models they have PT rotors, what about these?

I wonder why they did that treatment to make it that color. Is it so it stands out against the case color?
My SS RO has a YG color, which it makes it stand out against the rest of the case.

is there a benefit to a gold rotor? are any of the properties of gold useful in a rotor? or is it just for prestige?

On the AP caliber 2226 they attached 22k on the outside of the rotor. Can only assume this is to move more weight to the outside of the rotor to improve efficiency. http://www.ablogtowatch.com/audemars...on-james-list/ Edit: guess the new AP2897 movement does use platinum in the outer rotor setup on the ROO carbon turbillon |
