A set of pliers to pull that scumbag's teeth out with....that's a tool!!

A wrench to "staighten" his nose.......now that's a tool!!

A hammer to crack his skull with......now that's a tool!!

A shovel to dig up a grave.....now that's a tool!!

A Rolex needs tender, loving care and, above all, UTILITY!!

You utilise its functions.

You utilise its features.

You utilise a Rolex, with a lot of love and adoration!!

End of story - UTILISE your damn Rolex - for heaven's sake don't bash it into the ground like you would do some cheap tool!!

Wish some people who own the Submariner of all watches would be concerned less of taking it in salt water and just make sure the crown is screwed down and rinse it off with fresh water after.

I would say that the designation "Tool Watch" is not to be taken too literally.

See this quote from a article that Mike posted recently:

"Rene-Paul Jeanneret was one of the most important executives at Rolex Geneva in the company's most fruitful period, the 1950s and 60s. His official title was that of Public Relations Director; but he was so much more than that, he involved himself in many aspects of the company's activities including inventing watches; although his name appears on none of the Rolex patents from that period. An active sportsman in many fields including skiing and the newly introduced skin diving; in the early 1950s he came up with the concept of "tool" watches. This was the idea of a watch specifically designed for practitioners of an individual sport or activity.
