"When birds fly south for the winter, they fly in a 'v' formation, and one side is always longer than the other; why is that?" We would try to come up with a scientific or otherwise cogent answer to explain this phenomenon. The answer, simply and interestingly, was that there were just more birds on that side of the flying formation. Nothing more deep or complex than that. Sometimes the answer is simple. Maybe there isn't more love for the ap because *some* people don't find them particularly attractive and there are more people here who don't like them than who do. I tried to like them. I went and looked at one. I couldn't like it. Fake utilitarian look with hexagonal bolts and Koehler bathroom sink looking finish... Maybe there are just more birds on that side of the formation brother. |

People don't understand AP (RO)
They don't know the story and where Genta got his inspiration from for the RO and Nautilus, so can't appreciate it. It's a bit like say Bauhaus design is a too basic and looks cheap without knowing the history of how it came about.
If you still don't like the look and understand why it is that way, then that's cool - you just don't like it as opposed to don't understand it. |

OK Tom you were 100% right. That place rocks. Actually the entire mall is a dream for horology whack jobs like us. all the big boys are represented there. But I mostly went there to see Panerai and AP. I love the way both felt on my wrist so now I am torn on which one to get. Either the PAM 537or 392 or possibly the AP black dial 15400. Ill probably go with the AP. Whatever I decide I will post pictures because I have a gray dealer lined up for either one I choose this week. Thanks for your great advice.

Well, I love them both but since I have small wrist, the offshore 42 mm is too heavy for my opinion.. I enjoy 36 mm (yess 36mm) Royal Oak more...My Sub has more weight but is very comfy watch to wear everyday.
Never bother about the scratches, its unavoidable anyway... I will never say that AP is better since a lot of reported problems (e.g datewheel jam, etc) |
