Deep sea waiting lists (uk)
Just spoke to a very well known London AD who informs me Rolex are only releasing two per year to them & they already have an eight year waiting list.
Move over Daytona.....

Most AD are not holding a list on Rolex instructions. Apparently Rolex want consumers to see the watch in windows etc, not like other models have been in the past

Of course you have to have a product that people want, or the strategy doesn't work. Hence my 40% discount on a new old stock Titanium Girard Perregaux, vs. no discount on my gold GMT Master II Ceramic a year ago when I bought it. The answer to all this is that if you want it badly enough to play into the hype, and have the money, then get it. At MSRP, I've enjoyed my GMT for a year now, and am glad to have it. Today I could probably get a discount on the same watch. A year from now, you will be able to get a discount from MSRP on the Deepsea. But you have to be willing to wait the year. |

Yep...totally agree. Looks like I'll be sporting my Sub Date for another year before it goes on the selling block so I can free up funds for the DS. In the end, that's not such a bad deal as I know I'll appreciate the DS more if I have to wait and god knows the Sub Date rocks...so the wait won't be too hard.
