Opinions on Tudor 7928 Shield Dial

Hi everyone,

Could you please let me know what do you think about this shield dial? It's supposed to be for 390 movement, Tudor 7928. However, all of the shield dials (that I have seen) usually have "Oyster Prince" under the shield, not just "Oyster."

Also, the color of "200M = 660FT" is different than that of the "Submariner." To me, this one looks like a re-dial. But I would love to hear what you think.

Thanks!

Definitely a redial. The only Tudor sub that was not automatic (i.e. no Prince on the dial) was the mid 1950s 7923.

I've seen a single watch so far with the same dial ("Oyster" under "Tudor") and 4-lines at the bottom of the dial:

Probably a coincide with the re-dials. I just wanted to show it here.

Hmm, and there's one 7922 with similar design:

I wonder if this could be one of the early transitional service dials (it's probably wishful thinking). Even if just "Oyster" is fine, the color difference in the 4 lines seems weird.

Also based on the tudor subs I have owned it appears as though the spacing between 200m=660ft is all wrong. In reality there really isn't much space between the m = and 6...

Yes, you're right. Good point! I passed on this dial.
