Seeking information about Llantrisant, Glamorgan, Wales

I have spent the past several days in Salt Lake City, Utah. I did some family history research. I did not know this but the LDS (Mormons) are some of the best records keepers in the world when it comes to family histories. A large amount of my family history has been already documented. All I needed was my great grandfather’s name and my grandfather’s name. Based on this information alone I was able to go back into the 1200 AD period.

I am starting this post (sorry it is not Rolex related) to ask my U.K. friends if they have any information about the area of Llantrisant, Glamorgan, Wales. (A large portion of my ancestors lived and died here) Like many Americans I am made up of multiple European Ancestors (yes I can hear the jokes now) I am mostly Welsh but I have German and Scottish ancestors as well. I would like to know anything else about this area. I have looked on the web and I am going to fly to Wales next year as my ancestry is very important to me. Thanks for your help.
