Not me, I would never pay above retail, and I have only paid MSRP one time and that was for a Milgauss GV.

I don't actually own a Daytona but I would never pay above MRSP for a watch that's currently in production - however 'rare' they may appear to be.
To each their own though. - Neil.

I've paid MSRP and above...just depends on what's needed and when. I flip watches as a hobby.

Out there, somewhere, there is a guy who lost his tail on houses and took his remaining money and bought Rolexes. :-)

I have to admit, I did. Couldn't wait 2 years on a waiting list..at least that's what my AD told me. I'm very happy though and I guess that's what counts.

I was Extraordinarily lucky and paid MSRP, ($7900) at an AD, but was seriously considering paying more for one off the gray market. It's as Ron says, as long as you're happy it really doesn't matter

I could never not get hold of a SS daytona and so went and purchased WG ones and never regretted it. So much better IMHO.

Paid msrp twice and sold one at a $1200 profit. Prices are soft right now. I would never part with my 116520 black face. Paying over msrp is no disgrace, but not for me.

Yes. Bought mine three years ago for current MSRP price. Wait at AD was 3-4 years. Way I look at it, I've enjoyed the watch for three years instead of waiting and ending up paying the same price.
