Pretty sure fake!
Need to see the balance wheel to confirm exactly BUT Those screws on the back, cause me concern, as do a couple other issues on the dial Post a photo of the balance wheel. But currently FAKE

What's with the photo? Someone who owns a genuine gold AP doesn't need to impress you with two ratty old $100 bills. The photo screams wannabe gangster.
The case shape looks odd from the front and the leather band is delaminating so I'm not convinced it's real either. |

It's genuine gents. Fake movements in these use a tarted up Miyota, which that certainly isn't.

Only two ways to tell, one we can not see and the other, I can not 100% confirm or deny from that photo. BUT based on those screws, and one major dial issue, my feeling is fake. Only seing the balance wheel will 100% authenticate or not. Fact!

For a start the Balance is in the correct place, barrel is in the correct place. All jewels/engravings/screws where they should be. All wheels present and correct and where they should be. The rotor is as it should be. Black polished screws in the movement. This is no clone movement with decorative plates and false jewels. Major dial issue? AP logo at 12? It's a 15300. |

Decoration and gold 18kt rotor are NO issue to counterfeiters I am quite happy you are willing to state watch is genuine, but based on my knowledge it is currently more fake than genuine AND only the balance wheel or a better photo of the movement will tell. Until then "The Jury is still out" Finally, I am happy that we can agree to disagree Regards

Clone movement:
Look at the finishing and position of the (fake)gears/jewels in relation to the crown on both. No comparison. No need to see the balance. The balance bridge is between 9 and 6 o clock where it should be, not 5 and 8 like the clones. |

I said the counterfeiters are Chinese and decorate the movements to look like a Cal.3120. Decoration maybe no issue for them. However getting a haute horologe finish is something that takes a very long time. Time you don't get on a $300 fake. You absolutely do not get black polished screws and general finishing like the OP's on a $300 fake. The watch is genuine. No need for a picture of the movement. Look at my image above and compare the two. No comparison what so ever. |

Real or not, the pictures alone would turn me off from doing any dealing with the seller....

the decorate plate is definitely genuine, the movement looks genuine to me. the pictures of the dial are in too poor of quality to make any determination. the tapisserie pattern on fake AP watches has the biggest tell aside from the movement. the DW font looks to be correct. Will I buy it, hell no!

Looks OK from here, though I'd want to see better pics if I was pursuing it.

AP Authenticity check
Movement looks real to me and yes I have a 15300 to compared to. Orientation of the fake is different than the real AP movement.

This was offered to me by a local watch dealer. He buys watches locally and sell it to other watch dealers including established EBay resellers. I've met him personally and we occasionally chat about watches. He was selling it to me for 15k. The pic was taken by a private seller and was sent to him. My impression of him was that he won't try to sell me a fake one. And he knows his watches too so he already determined that the watch was not fake. Although, for that amount, I just can't take his word for it that's why I decided to post it here. Thanks to everyone who shared their input. : ) |
