Thanks guys. Many are saying go for the one you like. Good advice, but I like both otherwise it would be easy! I am slightly leaning to the black. I am also able to get the black at the pre-increase price.
I have this problem with most of the sports Rolexes - I like them all! I envy those who instantly know that they prefer a GMTc to an black 42 mm explorer egc I don't. I dislike flipping, like to get it right first time. Thanks Heikki for the wonderful images which really show off the beauty of the black. There are not many good wrist shots of the black. Pictures never really convey the beauty of the watches, especially true of the Milgauss, "Go for the black if you want a low profile beautiful watch or go for the GV if you want a flashy and cool watch that'll stand out. Either choice is a good one." Obscurelight I think you state it in a nutshell. I just have to decide which is more important to me cool or beauty. Aesthetically I think the black is a better more balanced design, a classical piece if you like versus an installation which is more modern colourful and exciting. I fear that whichever one I choose I will wish I had chosen the other! ' |

Thanks red1108nyc. That is a great shot showing off the GV's unique qualities. Timeonmyhands also great shot GV stands out but your image also shows an aspect of the GV that concerns me - the dial looks a little cloudy when the GV is viewed head on. This is something I am investigating, seems to vary from one sample to another although I am not even sure of this. Maybe different ambient light in different dealers is the explanation.

I have owned all 3. I purchased the white dial first and then the black. I think of the two the white is the best. I then purchased the GV and love it. I only have the GV now and have no regrets; I would say the white would be my second choice though.

Hi so i don't know if this has been answered, regardless, i am having difficulty finding an answer. I am looking to buy a Milgauss with the green glass crystal, however, I'm seeing the certification cards that come with them. Some have numbers finishing the V some have GV and some have just the 116400 number. Am I being really dumb here as we are looking at the glass here right??? I want to be very clear. I want to buy a Rolex Milgauss like the one i tried on in the store. with the green glass and Rolex around the inner bezel

Ancient thread revived.
Mine is a V, not a GV, and it is a black dial, orange 3,6,9 markers, and green crystal. |
