1930s vintage cushion - restored dial?
I am looking at a vintage rolex cushion oyster on ebay - since it's not the most reliable of sources and I'm a rookie, wanted to get your collected expertise:
1) The listing notes that the dial may have been restored at some point. Is this the case? Will this affect the value markedly? 2) Any other red flags as to authenticity etc? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-9-Ca...-/142310536948 & thanks in advance! |

When a vintage dealer on ebay says "may have been restored at some point" you can usually take that to mean "has obviously been restored", and certainly in this case.

IF the case indeed hallmarks to 1938 the movement didn't come in the case or it has been altered.
That's an early shock resisting movement...not in 1938 I'm afraid. |
