Owen Wilson...
This is a total WIS observation but has anyone ever noticed that he always wears his GMT in his movies? I'm watching Wedding Crashers and noticed it there...saw The Life Aquatic not too long ago and he had it on then too. You would think a big movie budget would allow for something different...or maybe he just loves his own personal Rollie.. !! Sorry, I'm bored...

Well? I saw the movie again last night and I noticed the same thing. I was wondering if it was his or his choice/selection for the movie based on the scene? Either way I was thinking the same thing. I love that movie.

I imagine that there are many movies where they don't care which watch the actor wears as long as it is reasonably appropriate for the character. Even so, good to know about another Rolex afficionado.

The only movie I've seen him in is "Cars." Couldn't tell if he was wearing one or not. What do you guys think?

Are you kidding? Wow...you've got to hit the movies (or rent, or HBO/Showtime/Cinemax) more often. Just a few O. Wilson classics (some a lot better than others):
Meet the Parents Meet the Fockers Starsky & Hutch You, Me and Dupree The Cable Guy Zoolander Wedding Crashers Night at the Museum The Royal Tenenbaums Armageddon & soon to be released, Marley & Me (if you're a dog lover...you've got to read the book...I'm not ashamed to admit I shed a few tears w/ my pups while reading...can't wait to see if the movie is anywhere close to the book). Plus many more... Owen Wilson is great...you've got to check him out if you've only 'watched' him in Cars. Cheers. |

I just saw Life Aquatic a few days ago and with the help of my DVR I was able to pause on the GMT shots. Looked like a pepsi bezel to me [but I'm color blind]. dP

Well, you are looking at the car from the wrong angle. The only place the watch would fit is in the tail pipe. So we need a shot of the rear of the car, where I am sure we will find a GMT. Well, semi-sure, or possibly sure...

Great actor. Got to love Shanghai Noon with him and Jackie Chan. Glad he's back after the suicide attempt last year.
