Sub-C on Small Wrist

I am absolutely in love with the Sub-C but my wrist is only 6.25 inches and I am really worried about how well it will fit. I'm not so much worried about the watch itself on the top of my wrist, but rather I am worried about the large glidelock clasp taking up too much of the bottom of my wrist. If any Sub-C owners with small wrists could comment with their wrist size, opinion of how well their Sub fits, and if possible provide pictures of the clasp under their wrist, I would be greatly appreciative!

I wear one on my 6.5" wrist with no issues. Maybe try it on a rubber or NATO strap?

My wrist is around 6.375 to 6.5 inches..so similar small wrist. I only own one subc and that's the lvc...I feel the sd4k or 5 digit/4 digit subs fit me better. Some examples:

My wrist is 6.8" (not far off from yours) and the SubC is perfect. Mind you 40mm is a well rounded size case on any wrist size!

It's a touch big on top (glidelock is fine)... you get used to it, though 5 digits def a better fit at this wrist size IMHO

I wore a SubC on my 6.25 inch wrist with no problem. I no longer own the watch but my notes say I removed 5 full links and moved the half-link from the 12 o'clock side to the 6 o'clock side. The clasp was not too long for my wrist and, after a few adjustments, was perfectly centered on my 6.25 inch wrist. My notes also say, when the watch was fastened on my wrist, that there were 3.5 links showing on the 6 o'clock side and 4 links showing on the 12 o'clock side. I found the SubC to be very comfortable. I can't say whether it would fit as well on your wrist shape as it did on mine. BTW, I sold my SubC to partially fund another purchase and I now regret parting with it. I will probably buy another SubC.

I have a 6.5 wrist and decided that my 14060 felt more comfortable than my 114060. I ended trading the Sub for a DJII which feels much less top heavy on the wrist.

You'll be fine. Here's my 114060 on my small, ~6.25" wrist.


The Glidelock is comfy and it's great to be able to make quick adjustments in the summer.

You'll love it as it such a classic. (I have both the 16610 and Sub C, and both fit perfectly with no clasp size issues).

Might only be me but the only reason why I hate wearing my sub is the thickness of the watch+bracelet. I realized that the oyster bracelet make the watch larger than it is, even on a 39OP. In the process of changing straps for the sub. Only watch I wear on a bracelet is a 36 DJ.

It is not just the wrist size, but what these pictures illustrate is how the wrist SHAPE also impacts the fit.

I am the same. Thinking about taking out one more so the Glidelock has plus and minus adjustment but not certain I need to do that.

I have a larger 7.5+ wrist, so can't help there, but say go give it (the Sub) a try in person. The Glidelock is surprisingly flexible and may be the best fit if you are ok with the wider lugs. Good luck and post pics if you pick up!

If your wrist is quite flat you should be OK.

I've got the same size wrist and moved a half link to the 6 o'clock side and the fit is perfect.

The sub-c fits fine and the clasp spans the entire width of my wrist.
While it doesn't look like a Patek dress watch, it doesn't look like a chunky AP ROO either. It's big enough to look modern but not too big to look silly. I felt that due to the bigger casebackk, it didn't slide underneath my dress shirt cuff as well as my GMT.

Forget how big my wrist is- it's something around 6"
