The answer is not to time the watch ; they are all pretty accurate. Being mechanical, they will always change over a period. If you really want precision, buy a Grand Seiko spring-drive. You might find you never take purely mechanical watches quite so seriously. They are lovely things, but a five dollar quartz is more accurate than any Rolex. Love them for what they are...mechanical history on your wrist.
