GMT II 3186 First Serial Numbers

I am sure that this question has been asked before, but does anyone know the ealiest serial numbers that a 3186 has been found in a GMT II?

No idea, maybe only Rolex headquarter know, perhaps Z8xxxxx.

I recall seeing that Z99XXX and M numbers having the 3186.

There is no way to know..

Rolex has advertised that they generate serial numbers randomly, and it is also stated in "The Best Of Times" (Dowling-Hess 1999)

"Please note that Rolex is now using the prefixes W,T, U, and "A", randomly assigning numbers. Therefore the exact date of production can only be ascertained by access to the records kept at Rolex, Geneva."

Since that time, of course, they have introduced the P and D series, and you can now find in Dealer cases brand new Z, M, and V serial prefixes...
