Ricardo, I would go for the Explorer II just because I think it is a good every day watch to wear. Nothing wrong with a GV though. Have you given any thought to getting the new Submariner?

In my opinion I would go with a versatile multi-function watch like an Explorer II. I agree the GV is a stunner and after trying one on several times I could see it as a 3 or 4th choice in the Rolex line for me. I just picked up a black Explorer II as I won't be adding any other ones until the new Ceramic Sub hits the used market. If you are plannign on adding a Sub or SD or even a GV those are all black dialed watches so the white Explorer may be a perfect contrast to those...

Well, since you want to buy another one, the Exp-II makes more sense. It has a date feature and a 24-hour time-zone too..........so it would be a more practical watch for daily wear and travel!!

Now I start to think about the GMTII ceramic. I would be soo disappointed if I buy a brand new Exp 2 and the new orange hand just comes out. Not sure if I will like the GMTII cause the band. Anyway, lets try it on. : )

I have both, a T series ExpII and a V series GMTIIc.

They're very different and as much as I like the GMT (which I bought less than a week ago) I love the ExpII. I didn't read the whole thing so excuse me for saying this, if your buying used go for an ExpII with SEL bracelet and luminova instead of Tritium.

Those are the only two things I'm not crazy about in the ExpII.

Oh by the way, I was torn bewteen the Milgauss and the GMT, but Milgauss vs Explorer II? Hands down the Explorer II (white dial of course).

I am trying to understand why several responders feel that the Milgauss is too large and top heavy. It is a 40 mm watch in a world of 50 plus mm watches. It certainly is not a large watch in any way. In fact, in today's world it would be considered small. Women are wearing 40 mm watches all the time. Yes, it is a little thick, but uncomfortable? No way. To say that your arm is tired after wearing the watch is just ridicules. Maybe you could say that about the Deep Sea, but the Milgauss? I own one and wear it all the time. I am not a particularly big guy.

Millie is one of the most comfortable models, it's perfect and I wish other models had its weight and comfort.
