Rolex Oyster Perpetual 34mm Olive Green Dial
Rolex Oyster Perpetual 34mm Olive Green Dial 114200 3130caliber
More info available on Rolex website: https://www.rolex.com/watches/oyster...4200-0021.html Recently, I have been taking a long look at the new Day-Date 40 Everose Gold with Olive Green Dial. Not being in the position until next year to afford a gold Rolex, I have been looking for other alternatives. While I usually like smaller watches - even though my wrist size is 7.25in - I own a couple of OP34s. First, I had the silver dial, then to my delight, I discovered this model is available with Olive Green dial as well. Reading through the posts on this forum, I realize there is a lot of admiration for this dial color, so thought I would post my impressions of this watch. Realizing there are many of the opinion that "A real man would not wear this size watch", I will take the risk and do this thread. The watch actually fits larger than some might imagine. Due to it's cushion shape case, it feels to me not a lot smaller than some of the 36mm models I have tried, including the Explorer I 36mm which I owned. I think these photos give a good impression of how it looks on my 7.25in wrist: This is likely the most affordable Rolex, but it makes no compromise on quality, ruggedness and great craftsmanship. It's a delight to wear, and the smaller orange markers at the ends of the white baton markers really liven up the dial, in a very unobtrusive way: At about 11mm thick, not the thinnest watch I have owned, but the curved edges of the case make it appear not quite so thick. Matter of fact, my Tudor Black Bay 36 is only 10mm thick, but appears thicker because of the straight case edges. Thanks for looking. Carl

I feel like I should've joined TRF only with a 'rolex fever insurance policy' because you guys and gals have shown me how incredibly beautiful this rolex reference is. The dial colors, the hints of color on the sticks, the inspired simplicity of the designs. I've got the fever for your watch, and no insurance policy to pay for it! Thank you! : ) |

Agreed. I love it and considered it myself, its my favorite 34mm. In the end i opted for the OP 36mm Blue lumed 3-6-9 but if I ever bought another OP from current selection this would be it.
The 39mm OP dont sit right on my 6 inch wrist, but if they did it would be the dark rhodium with sky blue accents, though i do like the red grape too. OPs definitely have great color options! |

34 and 36mm are the perfect size IMO. Extremely comfortable for daily wear. That dial is fantastic and the combination with every detail is great!!

Nothing wrong with this size. I'm the proud owner of a 34mm date.
Very wearable, light even though it's 18kt gold. Gift 31 years ago from Mom. |

Gorgeous watch! I so wish Rolex would make in 39mm with lumed hour markers all the way around. I'd buy one in a heartbeat should this become reality at some point in future.

Superb colour with a crisp clean dial! Watches wear so much more comfortable in those sort of sizes and look neat and understated! Love that colour!

This is agreed, an amazing color. Saw one in person and wrote about it here.
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=526142 If they made this in 39 mm I'd be all over it! Alas I got this one instead. If anyone is ever in Japan Bic Camera sometimes has the Olive and it's pretty darn reasonably priced. |

That is a beauty. At some time over the next year I am planning to get a gold watch. Likely a Rolex. I really wish that the 34mm OP was available in a gold model.

34mm is perfect for my 6.5 inch wrist. That's a gorgeous watch.

That olive green color is really really nice. I have a 6.5in wrist which is mostly flatter on the top side. If this is thinner then it should be something for me to think about.
Congrats surely fits well on your wrist. Sent from my G3116 using Tapatalk

That Day-Date with the green dial is fantastic. That is what started my interest in the green dial. Although it is actually the Everose I prefer, the white gold is stunning as well. I just can't afford a gold watch right now, but in the next year I will be getting one.
I love that dial. Especially with the hand done gold Romans, it really looks outstanding. The 40mm Day-Date is such an exceptional watch, especially the President bracelet. From all the photos I have seen, the DD40 really does not look that large. I have a 7.25in wrist, so am comfortable with just about any size watch.
