wasnt givien a discount or any swag. i was told that it was bc of the price point (114060). the salesperson did get me the Rolex Way book and Basel 2017 book...she did get me two coffins... she also got me the outer box, bezel protector, and white hang tag (none of those seemed to be standard with purchase at this location...)
having bought new from trusted sellers here, not sure i will be going back to an AD.... |

Here in Austin Texas I got my horse, which was tied up at the hitching post out front, set up with some water and sweet alfalfa, while she was brushed down by the resident matchmaker. Once that was settled I got my silver spurs polished in the back room as the tough as nails sales person of the female variety actually allowed me to buy a subc with the AD picking up the tax. So I got some feed and water and about an 8% discount. Not bad considering the subc has barely left my wrist in the last five months or so.

My local AD tend to treat a sale of a Rolex just like a sale of a bar of chocolate in a shop! Prior to buying my SD43 I had visited the AD to seriously inquire about a sub date and BLNR, not once was I offered a seat, the watches were just tried on right there standing in the middle of the store. Then when I bought the SD a few weeks later, same thing, not offered a seat, just tried the watch on in the middle of the store, to the counter to pay and that was it!

My wife bought a piece of consignment jewelry in Doncaster UK Rolex dealer and I got the #7(?) Rolex magazine issue featuring the Submariner. Good for me. Before that, I bought my wife a 216570 (Exp II Polar) from an AD (KoP) in the Philadelphia region- we got a Rolex cashmere scarf, frankly I don't where it went?
All I know is I should have sold those Panerai caps when Panerai was hot- they were handing them out at a special Panerai event at Tourneau in PA. At that time I probably could have gotten $50 a pop. Otherwise, I don't buy new. |

Besides the watch, I was given a 150 or $200 voucher to a nice steak house along with a Rolex baseball hat.

You can't know as the ADs have to buy the gifts from Rolex themselves so they only give them out to certain customers. Some branches of Fraser Hart , maybe all, don't carry any gifts or even offer a water, while David Robinson tend to have a nice range of ties, umbrellas etc.

I usually walk out with a nice discount and no tax..... Much better than some green watch pouch or paperweight to collect dust.

I got a sit down, a decent amount of friendly attention, a cup of coffee and an umbrella (oh yes, and they removed my stickers free of charge, informing me that that was Rolex's gift, sort of). Oh, and the previous week, when I didn't actually buy anything, I got the 2017 hardback catalogue, the 2017 Basel magazine and magazine no. 6 about the Submariner.

I got a nice discount on my 116508, 4 bottles of water (it was hot and me and my wife were thirsty) and a Rolex embroidered duffel bag. Could have gotten some beers or tequila (we were in Cozumel) during the purchase but I didn't need any more help.
