I would want to confirm the actual serial on the side of the case.
A z serial would not have through holes on the lugs either.

That watch as it appears is definitely not a Z serial from 2006. The holes case and dial are much earlier. And whilst it is hard to truly tell from the photograph the jubilee bracelet looks rather stretched. What is your story with regard to acquiring it?

As others have said, GMT holes cases went away around 2003. No way it could be a Z serial, no matter what dial it has.

Check out the photos and help me solve the mystery...The Lugs definitely have holes and the serial is definitely a Z...seems bad....thanks for all of your responses first of all and check out the links below for the photo's you wanted..... now i'm worried.I guess the best way to solve this would be to take it to a jeweler and make sure the movement is a real 3185. It has passed All the tricks to make sure the watch is a real Rolex. I personally checked between the lugs at the 6 o'clock spot to find the Z serial number...AND The Z serial matches with the certificate. Between the Lugs at the 12 O'clock spot Says "ORIG ROLEX DESIGN" with "16713" below. The watch was purchased from the jeweler in 2006(see new images)...who knows how long it they had it before that. The Jubilee band is a bit stretched and end links are hollow, all the correct markings are on the clasp

Don't like the font of the serial # between lugs. It looks "off". Maybe the experts can chime in.

As you mentioned, your piece has a Tritium dial... I suspect the dial is not original for one, but on the surface, it sounds like much more may not be on the level. |

Somthing mighty weird
"Z" serial number is May 2006 to October 2007 REHAUT started in 2005 and was completed 2008 - but no rehaut marking Holes in lugs stopped 2002/2003 - never after "Y" Dial marked T SWISS T<25 stopped 1998 Writing between lugs does not look as it should BUT Hand stack is correct, and I believe genuine movement. Therefore movement appears genuine, but case, dial and papers are from another watch = FRANKEN! Adam

The rest is all suspect, case included, which is substantiated by the incorrect engraving between the lugs?

thanks guys, I also wanted to add that the Hands will glow if I leave it in the Sun but the dial is completely dark no matter what, the crystal also has the laser etched crown at the 6 oclock, and the date changes instantly(as it should) at midnight. So correct me if I am wrong but I do think all the parts are Real Rolex Parts but not all are GMT Parts or are Parts from the same watch, I will get photos of movement and case back(will need to go to my jeweler for this)
Thanks for the help so far |

Yowch. That's a shocker. The watch looks ok without removing the bracelet or seeing the dodgy un-punched paper. How did did you acquire this piece? My thoughts are with you if you bought it, a noob would have no chance with something like that.

from ebay from a 500+ rated seller who was recommended to me from a friend who bought a patek from the same person and had his jeweler confirm authenticity, it was 200 bucks cheaper than most other GMT's so I got it, But I started reading alot of info about the history of the GMT and it made no sense, I got fucked i guess....oh well

The model number on the paperwork does not match the watch pictured. Model number is stated as a 116713, which is a Ceramic GMT ll.

The watch is a multi year parts bin watch at best, most likely a total fake due to the nefarious serial.
Take necessary action against seller, sell it for parts, or wear it as is.
