What else?

So, I just got my first serious vintage Rolex, the 5513. And now I’m looking for my second, I love steel bezels but alas the 1016 is out of my budget right now as I only have about 5-7k to spend maximum! And I’d like it to be on the lower end if possible

What should I do?

I don’t mind modern and I’ve found some good deals on the dj41 and the 214270

114270

I'm in a similar position, for over 6 months Ive been trying to make my mind up, one idea is to take your 5513 out to an AD and compare I did this with mine and have decided on a pre owned 114270 they are at a affordable price and have a better movements than the previous Explorers, as a size 36mm it sits comfortably as well.

If you like steel bezels then consider a Pepsi! It will give you some color and an amazing watch that only gets more in value!

16710 GMT Master 2 in black. Then buy used Pepsi and Coke bezels on eBay.

Admittedly I love the explorer and it’s probably right after the sub for me in terms of aesthetic, heck call me crazy but I’d take a steel Daytona over ceramic, and certainly a vintage 6239 over any of the Bakelite bezel variations

I feel once you get into the vintage world, it an one way street, you never turn back. I got 5513 recently, less than one month I got an 1665, and I am looking for a red sub now. Blame on this picture I found on the internet....
