Gotta say, for the Nautilus my preference is STILL the basic 5711a/r or the 5712a.....but good lord the pics of the 5740g looks awesome. Though I still prefer a more timeless dress PC, this one I think is going to be a slam dunk in today's market. Thanks for sharing these great shots. 5170p is always killer!

anything for me. Aqua meh.

Totally agree
The 5170p came out last year... but I really liked it.
Wife also liked 7118/1a-001. Not sure how that holds up in value

5740 looks very nice. Font a bit big as has been suggested here before but minor detail IMhO. The price still just seems outrageous to me....

Thanks for the pics.

Price is PM PC plus cost of time only nautilus = 5740?

If the production run is limited then we may expect sharp appreciation?

I like the 5968 aquanaut. Maybe next year. They’d be crazy to limit the 5740 to a few years production. It will fly off the shelf for years.

At the price point of the 5740G you expect they will be flying off the shelves?
This will be interesting.

The crazy thing was they didn’t present the aquanaut with the orange bracelet... that’s just dumb even the sales were perplexed.

I guess. It’s 35k more expensive than a 5980 1/r that has a retail of 85k... can’t see the justification for it but who cares I guess because it’ll sell well.

Limited? Let’s not kid ourselves.... gold for 3-4 years and then steel, etc etc. We know the drill. There will be thousands once all is said and done I would guess. Nonetheless I love the Watch and think it’s one of the best offerings at the moment.

You are likely correct,
I am envisioning some version of the original 5711P numbers

It would be interesting in steel, in the end however the 60m WR is a bummer for a watch on bracelet with daily wear potential.

Man the Aquanaut is thicccc. One of the things I like about the 5167 is how thin it is, the chrono looks like they stacked two of them.

I think there will be worldwide demand, plenty of people with lots of money, sporty watches are all the rage, and if AD’s get two or three per year they won’t even hit the display case. Also I think people will rationalize the price by getting one watch instead of two or three, no need for a 5711 and 5712 and an AC, just get a 5740 instead. And then there are celebrities wearing the Nautilus, instagram pictures driving demand, and also Patek doing the exhibitions gets a lot of people interested. We shall see.

I went yesterday. The Nautilus PC is just epic. Massive wrist presence, especially bec of the white gold. The Aquanaut chromo is really big...well done but big. The 5270 dial was GREAT. I appreciate the PC Chromo but Nautiluses just sing to me in a way other watches do not. The new bracelet/clasp on the Nautilus is just perfect. I put my name down on a few lists and have to figure how to pay for it if i get the call!!

I got to go earlier this afternoon and I have completely changed my opinion on the aquanaut chrono. I didn't like it at all initially but seeing it in person and getting to try it on made be really love the watch. The 5270P was the highlight though. That salmon dial is beautiful!
