5512 Caseback?
Does the 5512 use the 5513 caseback or could it be marked 5512 on the inside?
Most I've seen read 5513, but I saw one recently from the late 70s, where the caseback was marked 5512 on the inside. Would be this be a Service caseback or could it be a fake? Thanks all |

It is well known that Rolex used whatever caseback they had handy. Many, many early Sub will sport another caseback number.

Completely normal to see 5513 and 5512 casebacks on either reference.
