5512 Caseback?

Does the 5512 use the 5513 caseback or could it be marked 5512 on the inside?

Most I've seen read 5513, but I saw one recently from the late 70s, where the caseback was marked 5512 on the inside.

Would be this be a Service caseback or could it be a fake?

Thanks all

It is well known that Rolex used whatever caseback they had handy. Many, many early Sub will sport another caseback number.

Thank you. I'd only seen the 5513 on a 5512, so I wondered if it was marked 5512 it could have been fake.

Thanks again!

Completely normal to see 5513 and 5512 casebacks on either reference.
