WTB GMT bezels inserts
I'm looking for a few GMT bezel inserts for my new GMT 16750 w/ acrylic crystal. I'm interested in purchasing the red/blue (Pepsi) and the red/black insert - these must be AUTHENTIC and in like new condition. I already have a Pepsi bezel, but it has some scratches and appears a bit faded, so I'm not wearing it. Thanks for any leads you can provide!

Yes, I did. They were very unhelpful. They said I would have to ship my watch to Rolex and have them snap the new insert on the watch themselves. I'm not interested in doing this for something so simple.

Jeff,
call around and find an authorised Rolex repair watchmaker. That is how I was able to obtain my extra GMT bezel inserts. These are genuine, and no need to ship the watch. |

Ok, thanks! I'll check with the more reputable jewelers in the area.

I spoke with the manager of an AD in the next town over... he's going to look into getting me a new insert. He was very friendly and helpful, unlike my AD here. He thought I'd have a hard time ordering a new insert outright. I told him sending my watch to Rolex isn't an option, but that I would be willing to exchange my old Pepsi bezel for a new one. Seems fair to me... we'll see what Rolex has to say about it.

Let me know how it works out. Maybe the guy I bought mine from would be willing to sell me another. Which one do you want most of all?

I got a good price for the bezel insert swap from my AD £25 if i remember - but againthey said it would have to go back to Rolex. How easy can the inset come out and is there any downside to keeping swapping it back and forward from one to teh other - how does it stay in place anyway? |

That sounds like a fair price if you're willing to part with your watch. I can swap my insert in less than 5 minutes - it's really easy. The insert snaps tightly into the metal bezel. You just have to make sure not to bend the insert when popping it out. This link shows you how to do it.

After striking out with 3 ADs I finally found an online jeweler that's selling a new, genuine pepsi insert. I placed my order this morning and paid $54 for it. I'm still keeping my eyes open for a new red/black insert.

I finally heard back from Swiss Watch & Clock Chalet. They said the insert would cost $97. Rolex will only send them the color that originally sold with the watch, which is black. It looks like they're not an option for the red/black.

That sucks, they must not have any stock and need to order from Rolex directly. Also, they only charged me $80 installed. Sorry they didnt work out.

No worries! You're right, they didn't have them in stock, or it wouldn't have been a problem. Thanks again for your help!
