Icon4 Am I crazy for wanting a BR03-92

Hello all.

Long story short - - -
Own a few watches, Breitling and Stowa are only ones now.
I was on a Panerai kick (422) sold to fund a sub C.
Found I was allergic to 904L, so now looking for something new.

2 kids and plenty going on in life, as not left me with a ton of fun money. Say $4k.

I want a fun weekend watch to mess around with leather straps. I think the Bell and Ross is a fit, but am unsure.

What else should I be considering.... looking for something with lug screws and 22mm - 26mm in width.

I don't it's too crazy. I wanted something fun for the weekend but went with the Breitling Colt Skyracer instead.

Not crazy at all. On the pre-owned market you could pick one up for a great deal. I was looking at BR-03's myself the other weekend while visiting an AD. Sold a Military Type BR-03 a few years back and recently have been wanting to add another to the collection. If you like it go for it!

as for pricing.... I see used going for 100-400 less than what I was quoted new (good relationship with AD). So I think i'd do the new.

Buy what you like, not what other people like :)

If you can get new at good price, go for it.

$4-5K buys you a number of options, new and pre-owned.

https://www.chrono24.com/bulgari/oct...-id8367005.htm – a softer iteration of the Octo by adding an element of the iconic Roma’s design. A sort of hybrid, if you will.

Do it! I’ve had my 03-92 for years and still love it and wear it frequently. Interestingly enough, and not that others’ opinions matter, out of all my watches it’s received the most compliments (due to the unique square shape). For the price they can’t be beat IMO.

I have the BR03-92 Aero GT and it is the one in my collection that gets the most compliments!
