Service of vintage ultra-thin dress watch

I am considering the purchase of this vintage ultra-thin AP dress watch from the 1960’s, which I think normally comes with the calibre 2003.

A bit small, but beautiful.

My concern is that I read somewhere that these ultra-thin movements are fragile and that parts are almost impossible to find today.

So would it be reasonable to purchase this watch as a daily wearer? Will service be an issue and make it an overly risky and expensive choice on the long term?

Many thanks for your advice

AP will service it, regardless of age, but it may well cost more than an in production model of parts need to be custom fabricated (this is just an assumption though)

Vintage non sport model APs can be had for an excellent price pre-owned

I’m in the same boat, with the slight difference that I already bought it, for my wife. Mine is 30 years old, 33mm, ultra-thin, and skeletonized. I just emailed APCS in Clearwater to inquiry on a estimate...waiting for their reply.
