116655 varied pricing

Hello all! Long time lurker here.

I’ve begun my search for my first PM piece and I’m really drawn to the 116655. I’ve been stalking the FS section and I have a few calls out to some of the more well known sellers that I’m in the market.

I’ve noticed there’s been a swing lately for listing prices. From as low as 17.5 to 21k. All equipped with box papers and the standard.

I personally don’t care if the watch is preloved, or who’s selling it.

Are PM prices usually this high and low?

I’ve read multiple TRF posts this watch should bottom out around $16k. Anyone share this opinion?

KD

I think you should care who’s selling it.

Additionally the prices probably vary based on who is selling it. Private sellers, or small time sellers likely need to be more competitive with their pricing to keep up with the big name trusted sellers.

What do you mean bottoming out at $16k. The watch has been around for what 3-4 years now? I’ve never seen it close to that low.

I should have been more clear. The seller could be Well known private collector or a known seller on the forums. Not saying I’d buy from Joe Shmoe.

Few weeks ago I saw one for 17k

I’m trying to learn the PM used market. Taking note of the listing prices shows a pretty wide range of offerings.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I don’t care if it’s a known private collector or a known seller. Not a Joe Schmoe.

I’m trying to learn about the PM pricing. There seems to be a pretty wide spread on offering prices.

Saw one recently for sale on TRF at 17.

I’ve seen a lot of new ones in the 19k area. It’s been holding high preowned. Usually most PMs tend to drop but this one is not. And it’s ironic for 19-20k you can get full gold sub or gmt. Soooo why doesn’t this price to 16k.....i don’t understand at all.

The one thing that I can think of why this sells for a high price, is it’s rose gold and we are in a rose gold obsession right now.

I’d consider buying one around 15-16k, not at 19k. Simply because I can get a full gold sub for that price....

I agree with you 100%
I can’t seem to understand why either. Maybe it is the rose gold? I’m a player at 15-16-17k as well.

I also agree for 19k I’m going gold sub.

Maybe there’s a reward for holding out when the price adjustment hits..

White and rose gold is more expensive in the same model than YG.
