Great way indeed, enjoy

But more impressive is that back wall, better stocked than most stores I've seen. Can I just come shop at your house next time

Question for you, recently I've gotten interested in the Orphan Barrel lines but haven't tried any yet. Any opinion you can share? Good or Not, worth the price (premiums) or overhyped?

A lot of OB is overrated.

1. Lost Prophet
2. Barterhouse
3. Gifted Horse

Only 3 worth owning in order.

I liked the 22yr better than the 23yr.

Maybe have a glass here soon and sample again.

I haven’t had the latest 24yr release.

I was given a 22 and a 23. The 22 was the one I drank first, assuming the 23 was better. Dang it.

I have not tasted the 23. I am now ready to be disappointed

I can find special reserve and antique fairly regularly. it's near impossible to find the 12 year without a crazy markup. same goes for that Elmer T Lee. I was pretty lucky. the owner told me they also got 3 bottles of old forester birthday. I missed buying the last bottle by a couple of hours.

Thanks for your opinion. I'm not able to find Lost Prophet anywhere near me, at least not at a crazy mark up but my go to store was able to source a bottle of Barterhouse for me, should be here later this week, will let you know thoughts

Nice pickups, enjoy them like the other fellow member I'm also from the ny/nj area and they aren't readily available around here.

Luckily for me I found this new store two weeks ago and they been getting all my business, completely out of my way but totally worth it as they have a very impressive selection. Been getting Blanton's fairly regularly at retail of $60 and they special ordering for me Orphan Barrel Barterhouse and Rock Hill Harms (per your suggestion ) The other good news is they've agreed to put me on their waitlist for their Pappy allocation this year, granted I'm at the end of the list since I'm still new but from my discussion with the owner their getting more bottles then people on the list so I should be able to get at least 1 bottle

Thanks, their shipment is supposed to come around Thanksgiving week along with their BTAC bottles so I have to wait a little longer but I'll be extremely happy with a Pappy or even a THH or GTS

Nice, that's great news my friend Friday is almost here. Good luck, hopefully you're able to get something

Lost Prophet is def expensive on secondary and can be a pickle to find.

Barterhouse is my fav of the line up and much more reasonable.

Hope you snag one and enjoy it.

Definitely true, the only stores I can find around me that have Lost Prophet are charging $699 + at those prices I'm okay they can keep it lol.

Barterhouse, my store was able to special order it for me from their distributor for $100 still more then msrp but much more reasonable so I don't think I did to bad on it? I already paid for it just waiting on delivery to the store to go pick it up, will let you know my thoughts once I try it

You guys have me rethinking the orphan barrel line. I tried some at a bar and it was ok. I found some at a local store, but they wanted $300 for barterhouse. I didn’t think it was $300 good. Maybe I’ll have to dig a little more to find some closer to retail. $100 seems much more in line and something I’d be willing to pay.

Not a fan of any of the orphan's I've tried, I think your instincts are correct, I wouldn't even pay 100, but there is zero reason to pay secondary for those bottles IMHO

Yeah I haven't personally tried any myself. I only got intrigued thanks to the great photos here. Most are overpriced especially secondary prices but when my store said they'd be willing to get it for me for $100 I'd figure why not, let me try it and even if I don't like it at least it's only $100 as opposed to a $300 mistake.

If you really want one and can't find it let me know, I can see if they can order a second bottle and I'd be willing to ship it to you
