Day Date

Has anyone seen a Rolex Day Date Yellow Gold with a White face with Black Roman numerals, did Rolex make one like this? Or was this custom. Saw one on a website but not sure this was offered by Rolex.

Thanks

Kevin

The Roman numerals or the sticks only comes in yellow gold for yellow gold daydate. Rolex match the criwn, Roman numerals, or the stick with the same precious materials of the watch.

I often see images of Rolex watches in which the WG or YG markers look black in images but are really reflecting something dark.

Yeah, I'd assume that's what the Op saw. Applied markers will always match the case material, but Buckley dials had printed Roman indexes, and were available on the yellow gold DD back in the 70's.

So, yes it exists, but it hasn't been made for quite a while. I assume vintage ones can be had if you look, though.

I don’t think this is accurate. I’ll point to wave dials as evidence on the DD36 and DDII.
