I think you’d really like the rubber strap. You can always get a second if your wrist swells that much in the summer and they aren’t that expensive - cheaper than an Everest or rubber b!

The 5167 was my first, earlier this year. I love the aquanaut dial just as much as the nautilus dial- they complement each other well (its day 3 of my new 5712). If you travel a lot across time zones and can stomach the premium of the 5164 over the 5167, then I say go for it. But maybe I’m not the right person to ask... two Pateks in 2018 and I can already hear that little voice saying “what’s next?” A slippery slope indeed ... but no rush, take some time to enjoy what you have!

First off I have never had an issue with an aquanaut in terms of comfort. The way the watch sits you size it with a bit more room than usual and it still hugs the wrist in winter just fine. I am a pretty big guy and I bet my wrist swells more than yours whether from my weight changing or the weather or my erratic diet

Second I have been seriously contemplating making an attempt at one watch and just letting the patina build. The leading candidate is my 5164/A but I’m also entertaining the 5711 white I have. I am also thinking I might just get down to those two and rotate back and forth. Then sihh and Basel will happen and screw it all up.

Good luck but I wholeheartedly recommend the 5164 Seth. I know you’ll love it because you are a rubber band man like me

My one PP is an Aquanaut and I'm good with that for now.

While reading this thread I was thinking.... 5711a White, 5164a... I could do two, and those would be a great two.

As a sports guy I always wanted to have one Nautilus and one Aquanaut, and in the 5711R and 5164A I have my ideal pairing at the moment. For you the 5726 and 5164 would seem perfect.

If you have the funds, one PP would be hard. For myself and my somewhat ‘limited’ funds (we’re still talking about Pateks here) I figured one dress PP and one sport PP. I’m quite happy with my 5146G and a 5164A. But I do have a bunch of Omegas that round out my other every day needs.

I’ve been wearing my one and only since I got it. I can’t imagine that will change anytime soon.

But because I like it so much, I’ve been looking at adding another. I’m smitten with both the 5164 and the white 5711. I’m even debating the white 5726 as it’s similarly priced to the 5711 (you know what I mean) and I love the complication.

I’ve a lot going on in my life right now. And to be honest, I simply can’t afford another unless I flip something else. Which I don’t want to do.

Boy oh boy, I can’t ask a simple question without adding a whole back story.

Given my situation though, I’m mostly determined to just stick with this one for the time being.

All this said, I feel like a dope.

I have what is likely the most ideal watch for me, based on my own tastes.

It’s amazjng that I simply can’t just wear this till the end of my days. I would love to just be happy with this and every once in a while wear one of my others to mix things up.

Anyone here just have one Patek they wear daily and plan to for years or decades?
Cant do it, its gonna be 5 by this time next year
