What would you like to see on the next generation Daytona?

When was it last updated? 2001?

I would like to see a thinner bezel, no more screw-down pushers and much more legible chronograph sub-dials.

it was last updated in 2016 with the 116500 and IMO they nailed it.

It's not the perfect watch by any means, but it's true to it's heritage and IMO shouldn't stray too far.

That said, my ideal watch is 40-41mm and has a date function, but again, those are changes i personally don't want to see in the daytona as it would lose it's historic charm.

Having picked up my first Daytona this year I find it really is almost perfect. I got the YG Oysterflex model with the black subdials (golden panda) and I really wouldn't change a thing. Honeymoon period full on haha

For me, maybe slightly wider lugs on the ss models similar to the pm ones. It will retain its size but visually wear a fraction bigger without going wacky :)

Those would be my wishes as well. Perhaps a version without polished case and center links as well.

I think part of the draw is the ability to fit such a great movement in a small footprint. So while a larger case would be nicer in some ways, I’d probably keep it the same.

A blue dial stainless steel version would be awesome :)

I love it the way it is.

However, as long as we're talking, if we could lose the screw down chrono pushers, and maybe add a flyback complication to the chronograph function, that would be gravy.

I think the current Daytona looks perfect. I only wish they change the screw-down pushers just like AP did on their Royal Oak Chronographs.

What? You own both black and white and have sold at least two black here on TRF. How many more do you need?

Perfect as is. Own the steel 500 with white dial. I love both the white and black dial of the new SS versions. A grail would be to own the 50th anniversary Platona! Absolutely love the ice blue dial.

42mm. The 40mm feels way too small IMO

Green and Blue ceramic bezel on SS.
So everyone can flock to them.

And I can finally get a chance to buy the regular black one.

A date function would be nice and slight bump up in size to 41-42mm to make the dial more legible. I found it kind of small when I had the opportunity to try one on. My 2 cents. Cheers!
