I'm a huge fan of Crown vanilla because of how smooth it is for me. Any suggestions for something similar?

Balvenie Caribbean Cask has strong vanilla notes. Very easy drinker as well.

Lagavalin 16 year old.
The necta of the gods for sure.
The first ocassion I drank this was on Burns Night a few years ago. To toast the haggis they handed out minuture bottles of assorted scotch whiskys.
Amoungst the couple I had was a miniature of Lagavalin. It stood out as acceptional.
The problem is the bottle goes down too quickly, so ration myself per evening to just a small tot with the addition of a small dash of water, as I find that neat for me is powerful stuff! Very powerful!
Lagavalin 16 year old, enjoy!

I can't find a bottle of Pappy to save my life, right now, either.

But I did just complete the Game of Thrones whisky collection, as well as picking up another bottle of Blanton's (#3 for me), an Old Forester Prohibition Style bourbon, and my Kentucky Owl... so I'm pretty happy with that.

Gifts from my office and a vendor.

Got em just before Xmas. Off the sauce for now tho.

I admit it’s tempting.

Oh My. Any chance one is for sale???

My favorites are the wheated bourbons, with an exception for Blanton's, and sour mash Tennessee Whiskey.

1. W. L. Weller's.
2. Blanton's.
3. Maker's Mark.
4. Rebel Yell.
5. Jack Daniel's.

I've had Old Rip van Winkle, never Pappy. That stated, it would take something truly unique and mind-blowing to get past #3 on my list. Pretty sure 1 and 2 are immobile.

OF 1920
4R Store picks
OWC 107

Find a local retailer that does their own barrel picks and start sampling them.

I'd be willing to trade. Would love a handle of Weller 12, or some bottles of Elmer T. Lee. Or really, most anything that's allocated like these are nowadays......

It’s delicious...but I actually prefer the 16 yr. I did a tasting at their distillery a couple of years ago and that’s the one I left with.

I also think simple Black Bush is as good a daily sipper as you’ll find...and only $35 (Canadian). I’ve had a flask of that on pretty much every hiking trip I’ve taken for 15 years!

They’re neck and neck. Bushmills knows how to do whiskey. I much prefer it over Middleton and others.... I’m a firm believe in large distilleries knowing how to make great things... at day’s end it’s all great and many boutique brands use a larger distillery with different specificiantions.

There’s a Californian whiskey maker now that’s quite imterwstunf too. Can’t recall the name but they’re aging bourbons in wine barrels which is interesting.

I'm encouraged to see some Ardbeg enthusiasts on this thread. I do really like that brand.
