Can anybody tell me what this model explorer is?

Got this picture from my brother. It was our fathers watch. Can anybody shed some light on it for me? Year, model, etc?

Very appealing watch and a great heirloom. If you remove the bracelet and take photos of the numbers between the lugs at 6 and 12 o'clock, you will probably get more detailed information, especially about the approximate year of production.

Beautiful condition dial and big money, get it insured!

And screw in that crown before you wash your hands!

Looks like a fantastic 1016.
Both dial and case look very nice from that picture!

It's a 1016 as stated above. You can remove the bracelet to get the serial number to know the approximate year made.

Looking at the dial, I can tell you it's from 1974-1975 ( 4 mils serial range ).

My thoughts exactly! It looks great but don’t let it succumb to any moisture damage
