You're looking at it all wrong. Think of it as patina for luxury boxes. In thirty years, these permanently shut boxes with a promise of papers inside will be in very high demand.

I live in a dry and warm climate, no sticky boxes here but i make note of the solution offered by our honorable friends to unstick sticky boxes or better still prevent stickiness.

The prices of the watches have been constantly on the rise, while the plastic boxes have been the same for about 15-20 years (correct me if I'm wrong).
Now, many of you will start shouting that it doesn't matter, you are not wearing the box.
In my view, the box is part of the experience and it should be a luxury package altogether.
