Haha, that's fine, I honestly don't know much about Irish Whisky! I saw the 12, the 15, and the 12 Cask Strength and made a split decision. Win some, lose some.

Perhaps this type is not hip, but a nice rye whiskey neat, with a beer is not bad. Bulleit rye.

Rattrays is my favourite pipe tobacco, I usually go for the Black Mallory. I have a few aged tins
Love the Scotch as well |

Believe it or not, Rye whiskey is making a comeback. I have several, including Michter's Straight Rye, COL E.H. Taylor Rye, and Kentucky Owl Rye Batch 2. Neat, on the rocks, in a Manhattan, you name it, I like it.

Picked up this Belle Meade cask strength a few weeks ago and finally popped it tonight. This is a good bottle of booze for the $55 I paid... I can’t believe I’ve walked past the brand so many times and never gave it a second look. I am going to pick up a second bottle and maybe try some of their wine cask-finished offerings next. Has anyone besides me enjoyed burning chair bourbon... ? It’s quite spectacular. Try it. And no, I don’t work for them.

I just came across an old bottle of jack n7, I guess that has been there since I reached legal drinking age, now hidden behind all the quality scotch,...

Used to be my go-to drink back in the day... easy to find anywhere, drinks easy on the rocks or mixed... I still have bottles of their Single Barrel and Rye Single Barrel, but have moved away from standard Old No. 7...

Now sipping on some Aberlour 10, which is arguably one of the best value Highland scotches one can buy. Having aged on sherry casks it is easy on the palate, definitely a good whisky for anyone trying to get into it. |

Just picked a bottle of this up for St Patrick’s Day.
And my humble stash at the moment. Current fave is the Swedish Mack. |

Looking back, I have expanded so far outside of Jack and Jim, I don't think I could ever go back to the regular bottles. But there are some very good Jack Daniels releases, such as the Sinatra Select and the Single Barrel Reserve Barrel Strength. Old #7 is really only a mixer for me now. |

Went to a dinner last week where every course was paired with a generous pour of Pappy. The 20 year had to have been my favorite, not too spicy. By the time we got to the 23 year, the 10 year just tasted flat and mediocre in comparison.

I never had the single barrel but seeing as they are not expensive I might just pick one up to try. |

It was very fruity and sweet, nice rich flavour and long lasting taste afterwards. I've had the 12yo Glenfarclas before and age really makes this whisky a lot better.

I was wrong about getting the Redbreast 15, I actually picked up the 12 year Cask Strength (I have no clue on Irish Whiskey, haha). It was phenomenal, I ended up taking the last quarter of the bottle home for personal consumption Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Almost went with ocean age but wasn’t sure...what’s the general input on this? I like it, but not a complete WOW factor for $50 bucks.
