View on owning the black & white 116500LN Daytona

Hi All

I'd like to hear from those that own both the white & the black ceramic Daytona & how you find them in essentially owning the same watch, but with a different colour?

I've got the white, but waiting to add the black.

Yes, great pair. Not for me though.

I own the white and have no plans to add the black. I know people who own both and enjoy both equally and like the option, but for me, if I were to add another Daytona it would be the YG with Green dial. Had they added a ceramic bezel this basel, I think I would be aiming to get one already.

I have both, I tend to gravitate towards the white. The black is extremely clean though. You can't go wrong and they both can easily exist in one collection.

I have the black and love the white also. It is one of the few lines where I think having multiple can be very nice and not overkill.

The main reasons I have not pursued is because 1) if I add another Daytona I would for PM on OF 2) I probably wouldn’t wear it often, my personal preference for black dials...and I buy watches to wear not appreciate or flip and 3) the waitlist issue...by the time I’m called I don’t know if Id feel the same way about wanting it.

I owned the white one for just over a year. I enjoyed every moment of ownership. I only flipped it when the 116519LN was released. I didn’t feel the need for two Daytona’s.

have the black and still waiting for the white one. Black and white I think they are very different.

Other pieces in my collection like BLNR/SD43/JC DSSD they look more similar to each other and I have no question on their eligibility to join the family.

I own both

Wear white primarily weekdays with black on weekends
However last couple months shifted to 50/50 and have started to gravitate to black.

Perhaps it's the changing season? Who knows

Both are awesome and wear completely different from each other.

At one point I even put my black dial on leather strap but it is back on bracelet now

I would personally go a second Daytona in a PM Oysterflex (especially if paying a premium is required for an SS). PM adds something different about the watch.

Agree. Oysterflex gives it a second look. But you can do that with the white too. So many options. Here’s a few.

I can see that. Two completely different personalities between the white and the black, IMO.

I have both the black and white EXP2's, so I get where you're coming from.

I wanted the white originally but when I saw the black in the flesh I liked it better so I got the black. A white dial came up as a trade with a other watch so I took it. Having the two and being able to compare I found the white dial to be more legible than the black. Consequently I have one Daytona now with a white dial and I don’t wear it as often as my Speedmaster as that is a very legible dial.
