1) Do all of you own one?
2) Who makes the movement? ETA?
3) How do I get my free Box?
4) How's resale?
5) What's the depth rating? Does it vari with models?
6) Will the Radiomar make all of my hair fall out?
7) I was looking at them this weekend, I am intrigued, but I have to confess, they are on the gigantic side, and I never got that: OH MY GOD! feeling as I did when I picked up that new Reverso Grande Date. But, I am open, SELL ME!

2) Who makes the movement? ETA? I think so. Used to be the Unitas 6497. Panerai has just launched its own in-house movement in the Power Reserve (damn ugly IMO!). A couple of models also use a JLC movement

4) How's resale? Good on most models
5) What's the depth rating? Does it vari with models? 300m standard - goes up with the divers' models. Think the Radiomirs are about 100m - not sure though.
6) Will the Radiomar make all of my hair fall out? No, but it will enable you to bed all the women and goats in your town!
7) I was looking at them this weekend, I am intrigued, but I have to confess, they are on the gigantic side, and I never got that: They were designed in that size (originally 47mm) so that the underwater commandos and maiale riders could see the dials easily. Same thing goes for the WWII pilot watches - eg Lange and IWC. Big watch = easily read.

Definately NO! Very few people own them, thats one reason Panerai is my brand.

David, these are the only two relevant questions.

1. NO. And some of us don't plan to in the foreseeable future (say the next 40 - 50 years).

7. It can only sell itself to you. If when you try it on, it grins at you, then get it. If it does nothing to put a smile on your face or a bit of warmth in your belly, give it back to the AD and look for something else.

Yep, that's the first time Craig ever made sense here.

BTW, Panerai has plans to continue the in-house movement development, based on the 8-day movement they now make. I would bet this will take years to trickle down to all models, but they're on their way.

The historics use Unitas 6497 variables, the autos and GMTs use ETAs and the chronos use Valjoux I believe. Keep in mind, these movements are not box stock. Panerai has them modified and prettied up and they're all rock solid, time tested robust movements that can last generations if properly maintained.
