New Grand Seiko Model - Any Info?

Came across this today and I am intrigued, looks like a perfect summer casual watch. Does anyone have any experience with this model?

I saw one at an AD in Kyoto last December. Priced at 300,000 yen which is about US$2,750. Discounted to 240,000 yen, or US$2,200.

These are perfect! It might be the watch to finally replace my eco drive on outdoor adventures! Anyone find and buy one in the US? I wonder what the going post discount price will be...

You can buy direct from Japan on Rakuten Global Market for about $2,375 and earn a couple of hundred bucks worth of points to put to an extra strap or whatever. https://global.rakuten.com/en

Quick update, I called an AD in the Toronto area today. I was told these are for the Japanese market and are not available to the Canadian market. I really hope they are wrong, hopefully someone can help clear this up. I did notice they are on the Grand Seiko US website, listed as being available for April 2019.

There has been a 245 languishing in the For Sale section of one of the fora for a couple of weeks.

I posted above this post showing the states they are available in the US. They are not JDM only.

Why? It is a 50 years service free movement. You pay this much on a watch that needs a service in 5-10 years.

The thing that confuses me about that is when I got my diver, Seiko themselves stated that it's a super sealed cabin for the movement so won't require service for 50 years. Now they are disavowing ever saying that, and the manuals say service 3-4 years
