Chrono24 valuation
Hi,
Does anyone use the valuation tool on Chrono and how would rate it? I personally have a look now and again and it seems not too bad

I've been using it to track the value of various SS sports models out of curiosity. I noticed several weeks ago that they made some tweaks to their valuation model (when you'd log in there would be a pop up message stating that they made some tweaks). I noticed the watches I was following for several months dropped by over 20% overnight so I called Chrono24's support line and they said the tweaks they made were to improve the accuracy of the tool but didn't know much about the specific changes that were made. I suppose the accuracy of the valuation that the tool outputs is somewhat debatable, but I'd say the tweaks definitely resulted in lower valuations across the board for all SS sports models from what I've noticed.

I refer to it from time to time. I wouldn't treat it as gospel, although trends, changes and differences are easy to follow.
The theoretical value of my collection went down by over 10% when they tweaked the algorithm recently. The numbers are now pretty much back where they were. |

They amortise the price across various regions. The best way to get an idea is to go into search mode and pick the country you live in.
