Battle of the Basel '18 & 19' Two Tones

Some views of mine on the new SD43 TT compared to the Rootbeer.

Although it is the same physical size as the SD43 SS, the TT wears more comfortable. I think it balances on my wrist better due to the extra weight of the bracelet. I find the SS version keeps rotating around my wrist during the day.

The Rootbeer, looks puny in comparison but for me, is the much more comfortable watch out of the two.

Rootbeer you can dress up or down. The SD is rather too large to dress up but for sure with the size of it, it 'will' get noticed. Not a watch for shrinking violets.

To be honest, you can't go wrong with either model but for me, the Rootbeer has the slimmest of leads... 3mm worth of a lead

Both are really awesome releases. I had the chance to buy the CHNR and didn’t. I have 4 other GMTs plus a SkyD so I wasn’t really in the market. Although I’d could easily see myself getting one at some point.

I probably wouldn’t have bought the SD but I was gifted it and I’m really happy I was as it’s a fantastic watch. I 100% agree it’s big and bold but not the least uncomfortable. I’m all about breaking the rules and I’ve been dressing up the SD for fun and I think it looks great!

Either way you can’t go wrong with these great releases.

I prefer the RootBeer for its size and RG color

TT SD by itself looks amazing, but when you put it up against the soft RG of the CHNR, just wow. That thing is beautiful.

Much prefer the CHNR, as I do not love YG. However I must say this SD43 really surprised me, and it looks great with the matte dial.

Both look amazing, but obviously I give the edge to the CHNR. It's a masterpiece, and I love it more each day.

CHNR is just about the only TT sports model I like. The SD looks good but I just don't care for yellow gold.

Not even a close call. The CHNR is superior in every way.

Are they no longer producing the gmt in yellow gold? I do not see it on the Rolex website. And an AD told me the black/stainless gmt is no longer as well. She stated gmt will only be made in 2 tone bezels?

IMHO the TT SD43 beats the CHNR. It just looks much more beautiful and balanced.

CHNR by 2 miles.....I swear the CHNR made me think YG TT are even uglier than before.

I’ve tried both. And went straight for TT SD43. Amazing combo! Mind you, each should see them alive. Just pictures are not representative at all!
