Wear the watch, don't let it wear you.

I don’t need a Rolex. I just always feel that way.

Well, the title leads one to believe you have put yourself on a pedestal.
But your actual post shows us you certainly put yourself on a pedestal, in disguise of altruism. Either way, you are on the pedestal looking down. :-( |

I feel superior to the Guy at the end of the bar waving his Tag around , then again I soon feel inferior when I'm sat next to some smug guy with his Nautilus
It depends how people wear them and how they behave , an arsehole is still an arsehole whatever watch he wears |

A watch doesn't define you or who you are.

I agree that I feel inferior when I wear my PP perpetual calendar chrono, since I will meet someone who has the split seconds chrono ;)

I do take my Patek off and put my Rolex on when I am in the mood to feel like one of the regular people.
I will take my Explorer outside so it keeps it's tool watch status. I may even take watch selfies with the ocean or mountains in the background. You know.. Showing the forum people how I use my tool watch just like them. |
