I have the standard polished configuration and like it. The polished links do get scratches more than the brushed surfaces, but I think the polish fits the watch style well. I could see a more modern version (skeleton or titanium) going well with the all brushed style. Not sure I need both, especially given the likely cost (rubber strap is $1000+, so not sure what a bracelet would cost).
i was quoted
"Regarding a fully brushed bracelet, the price is 1200.- CHF excl. tax and shipment."

Well, since i see watchmakers restoring timepieces from the 1800s, I'm guessing when the world ends and Zombies walk the top surface of Earth, if there are still watchmakers alive, one of them can easily service mechanical timepieces. NAWCC and other clubs showcase amazing restoration work with timepieces that seem like a lost cause. So modern mechanical movements with normal hairspring should be quite easy to service.

Please consider joining the NAWCC, lots of impressive articles about restoring mechanical movements, clocks, etc.

PS: Even silicon harsprings should be easy to produce as time provides more capabilities

Thanks.

Lately, I've taken a strong interest in Czapek. However, having the "halo" piece in my collection being a relatively young brand gives me pause, though, as I want to feel comfortable my kids will have a special heirloom some day.

I'm probably overthinking this.

All good 100%.

Funny thing, this was just posted an hour ago. Made in 1698. So buying off-the-shelf parts might be kinda, you know, impossible to find. His videos are fun to watch imho.
