Blantons or Col Taylor like suggested. Both have a good presentation and are good. If you get in a pinch I would think one of us here could help you out with a bottle. What city are you in?

This is my very good friend and I (he’s on the right, I’m left) at Buffalo Trace. Anyway, at a bar we were able to sample EH Taylor Barrel Proof and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately his health is in a steep decline and I’ve been hunting for a reasonably priced bottle of EHTBP to share with him. If anyone here could help as mentioned above for the other gentleman.

Thanks either way fellow TRFers!!!

I’m sure there are better ones out there but Nestor Liquors has it in stock and will ship even to some communist control states. But the markup is highway robbery for some bottles. And sorry to hear about your buddy.

Thank you. Ya, $550 is pretty steep for an $85 bottle. I’d be willing to go 2x MSRP but not much more.

It’s more of a sentimental experience for us than a “this is the best bourbon ever” thing lol.

Thank you about my friend. He’s having a bucket list sort of year so to speak. He’s in Mexico now and we’re hitting Vegas in 2 months. Living while he can!!!

Hey how does this compare to their other bottles? I haven't gotten the opportunity to try this yet. I am definitely a huge fan of Lagavulin and all of their offerings.

I do have that one as well!!! And I agree!

It’s pretty incredible. So silky, and the heat is nice. It’s weird because it definitely has more heat than say Rare Breed or Old Forester 1920, but somehow it’s not as aggressive feeling to me.

I had a pour of that in Louisville and it was fantastic. The bartender said “you can’t leave without trying this one.” I did and I’m glad. One of my top 5 all time. If I ever come across a bottle for MSRP I will absolutely get it

I had my bloodwork for my physical yesterday so I’m back in the game. I’m finishing off a few bottles to make room for some new stuff I stumbled upon today

I discovered black walnut bitters about a year ago from my neighbor. Been using them in my Old Fashions ever since. They give a nice buttery taste to an already great drink.
